SD Future of Music Meet-up

Posted June 28, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. to Jason Brock Public | Comment

"The famous hockey player Wayne Gretzky once said: “A good hockey player plays where the puck is; a great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be.” (Let's) uncover the obstacles to self-promoting music and suggest an alternate path that will take you where the puck is going to be." -Music Think Tank

In other words, Start thinking about your music as a team player on the local scene, and less as single isolated individual. Connect with your peers and build a scene that will bring everyone back for more.

Special guest Cathryn Beeks of KPRI's Homegrown Hour will take questions from the audience tonight, Monday night June 28th, from 7-9pm. Cathryn is also the founder of Listen Live SD. Don't miss this chance to network and get great information about the local music scene.

Together, we're building a commons for creativity here in San Diego. It's the future of music...happening now.

Join us at Cafe Libertalia | 3834 5th Avenue | Hillcrest | 619-299-9360

On June 5 assignments for the Poolside Secret Mixter go out....where those that sign-up get mixed and remix, in secret, until upload day (June 20).  Can't think of a better way to usher in the Summer Solstice!
