The Gift of Music From CcMixter

Every year ccMixter artists come to together through holiday themed remix events and create a group of songs that add a new twist to the genre we've all grown to either enjoy or detest:  Christmas Music.  Whichever catagory you find yourself in, there are songs in these playlists you're sure to harmonize with.  From classic reditions of "Jingle Bells" to the offbeat experimental like "Santa Claus is not coming to Mars", you're sure to find something to add to your playlist.

This year, as in the past, the Mixter admin team curated three new albums from the archives of these frosty events.  "Winter Lights" is an uplifting collection of 18 mixes.  "WInter Nights" is a 13 song curation for the grinches amoung us, and "Christmas Hope" features mixes from the famous Snowflake.  These albums join past releases to make a collection of winter remixes like no other.  Creative Commons licensing makes it all possible.

Listeners have a wide option for streaming and downloading these songs.  They are available at Jamendo, at the Free Music Archive, at Bandcamp, and right here at Tunetrack.net.

Here are three songs from these curations to get you started.  We hope your winter season is filled with hope and possibility.  Now more than ever we need the gift of music to remind us that we are all connnected, and that there is more to the holidays than meets the eye.
